About Meg
I’m just an artsy-fartsy-hippie graduate student, wife and mom to 3 four-legged critters who’s doing her damndest to cut unnatural things out of her life by buying organic or hand-crafted. This includes clothing (bringing all the polyester to Goodwill) and has spread over to my guilty pleasure/obsession with shoes. I am also learning about “green” changes that can be made around the house, everything from paint to insulation.
I’m currently working on my thesis–a full length volume of poetry with a central theme of “shapeshifting” that touches on multi-cultural folklore, Frida Kahlo, and dreams. I am also pursuing a lifelong dream of publishing a children’s picture book. In my free time I like to take naturewalks with my husband and dogs; make cloth folk dolls, buy shoes and cook Italian dishes.
You can occasionally find my creations on ebay and etsy. Also, see my Flickr photostream for pictures of shoes (of course), my critters and other random things.
